Nchanga Rugby Club kicked off the 2021 season with a loss to visiting Diggers in the opening traditional games played at the weekend.
Diggers beat Nchanga 18-12 in a seemingly tightly contested game played in Chingola.
In Lusaka, league champions Red Arrows thrashed Nkwazi 29-7 in one of the opening traditional games played in the Showgrounds.
In other games, Lusaka beat Green Eagles 23-10 with Ndola Wanderers recording a 22-19 win over Roan and Mufulira Hunters overcame Chibuluma 3-0.
Mufulira Leopards edged KPF 8-5 in another tightly contested encounter.
In women’s rugby, Red Arrows thumped 21-7 Green Eagles in the Lusaka Showgrounds.
