Robbers go away with $19,860, 40565 franc’s at Kasumbalesa border

Three unknown criminals among them a man armed with unknown type of firearm dressed in a police uniform have robbed and stolen $19,860 us dollars and 40,565 Franc’s near anti-rope at Kasumbalesa boarder.

Kelvin Mayuma 32, of house number not known at Kasumbalesa Congo side other particulars not known reported that he was attacked and Rob of his money on July 11, 2022 around 13:30 hours.

Muyuma said the trio was driving a Toyota allion grey in colour Registration number not known.

Copperbelt Police Acting Commissioner Sharon Zulu said the victim was handcuffed using police handcuffs, his neck, mouth and legs tired up with seal tap and he was later dumped in Kanyemu area along Kakoso stream.

She said the victim is complaining of general body pain.

Police visited the crime scene though no arrest was made.
Investigations have been instituted to bring the culprits to book.
