Reviving the Garden City of Luanshya in 2020 and beyond

Christmas message from His Worship, the Mayor of Luanshya.

As we get closer to the end of the year 2019, it is an opportunity for me to thank God Almighty for giving us this gift of life and the peace that we have in Luanshya.

Further, let me take this opportunity to thank the good people of Luanshya and Copperbelt for their splendid support during the civic year 2019 not forgetting to thank my Deputy  Mayor and fellow Councillors, MPs, the District Commissioner, Town Clerk, management, staff and the general workers for the Luanshya Municipal Council,  all heads Government and private Companies and the Church.

All what we have achieved could not be made possible without you.

The year 2019 has had its own challenges, but together, we have achieved good positive developments for our district.

Going forward to 2020, we will continue with our Open Door policy of getting ideas from the people of Luanshya on how best to improve and develop our district without leaving anyone behind for there is no problem that is insurmountable.

Christmas gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us. It’s a time to Love, Reconcile and share our blessings with others.

It’s time of rejoicing by putting others’ happiness before our own with the birth of the baby King Emmanuel.

I wish you all the people of Luanshya a Merry Christmas and a productive and prosperous 2020.

God bless us all.

Nathan Chanda Bwalya
Mayor of Luanshya
