Recovering Emmanuel Chabula itching to play

By Mercy Chewe

An ankle injury sustained in training has sidelined Lusaka Dynamos star striker Emmanuel Chabula for close to a month.

Chabula last played on October 17 when Dynamos lost 1-0 to Power Dynamos at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

His ankle was swollen severely when he was tackled by a team mate in training over three weeks ago.

In an interview from Lusaka, the striker has confirmed that he is recovering from the injury after intensive physiotherapy.

“The ankle injury was bad,” said Chabula, the former Kitwe United player.

“I am beginning personal training before I can train with the rest of the team,” the striker said.

Chabula is looking forward to returning to the pitch next week.

“I can play the match against the Red Arrows,” he said with confidence.

Dynamos will face Red Arrows on November 17 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

Chabula has scored one goal in the FAZ Super Division this season.
