RDA should work on Ndola golf Club route – AJUDE

By IREEN MULENGA
Activists for Justice and Development (AJUDE) has called on Ndola City Council to make recommendations to the Road Development Agency-RDA-to work on the Ndola golf club route which is in a dilapidated state.

AJUDE National Coordinator Abraham Phiri has appealed to relevant authorities to come up with a plan on how they will work on the said route.

“As AJUDE we are saddened by the loss of two lives despite we have been talking about the congestion along golf club, so we appealed to Ndola city Council and the traffic officers to help us in decongesting the road,” he said.

Mr Phiri said that due to the congestion caused by cars and trucks it is the concern from the people that the route is rehabilitated in order to avoid accidents that occur almost daily.

He said that if trucks can be re-directed to start using routes outside town accidents leading to loss of lives will be controlled.

Mr Phiri was reacting to an accident that claimed two lives and 15 injured on Tuesday at the Ndola- golf club road.
