General Education Permanent Secretary Jobbicks Kalumba has reassured parents that schools will remain safe for pupils and teachers in the wake of the increasing Covid-19 cases.
Dr Kalumba said parents should not worry about the safety of their children as schools have been directed to ensure all measures for Covid 19 are followed.
He said learning has to continue in schools to avoid the school calendar getting disturbed.
Dr Kalumba said parents should not keeping their children home for fear of COVID-19 should allow them to attend classes as the schools are safe.
Meanwhile, Zambia National Teachers Union -ZNUT- General Secretary Newman Bubala has implored all schools not to relax in implementing Covid measures, owing to the increase numbers of cases.
