Konkola Blades have recorded their fifth consecutive victory in the FAZ National Division One League as they moved closer to winning the championship.
Blades, who have already won promotion to the FAZ Super Division, on Sunday edged Kashikishi Warriors 1-0 away in Nchelenge in a Week 31 match.
Star defender Louis Musonda nicknamed ‘Wawa’ scored the only goal of the encounter at Mwaimwena Grounds in Luapula.
Konkola are on 65 points, seven above second placed Kansanshi Dynamos, after 31 matches.
The Chililabombwe side just needs a win to be confirmed champions of this division.
Meanwhile, Kashikishi, who have already been demoted to the provincial league, remain stuck second from the bottom with 19 points from 31 matches.
Kafue Celtic are third on the table after thumping Mpulungu Harbour 3-0 at home to move to 58 points.
Fourth placed Chambishi ended a four-match winless drought after beating National Assembly 2-1 to consolidate their position.
