National Democratic Congress (NDC) on the Copperbelt says Professor Nkandu Luo is a stone age Minister that has failed in each and every ministry she has been to.
In a statement NDC Copperbelt Chairperson Chipoka Mulenga said Prof Luo had failed to resolve the Copperbelt University impasse yet few days after being reshuffled from Ministry of Higher Education, CBU is scheduled to reopen on August 19, 2019.
Mr Mulenga said the good news was not only the re-opening of CBU, but reversal of all students’ expulsion that Prof Luo had slapped on some students.
“President Edgar Lungu should know that the ‘Smart Zambia’ agenda cannot be achieved with Stone Age ministers like Prof Luo. She was the Minister of Local Government when the local authorities faced numerous problems.
“After her failure, President Micheal Sata took her to Ministry of Chiefs, we remember the hustle Paramount Chief Chitimukulu Henry Kanyanta Sosala went through at the hands of Prof Luo. Our fear now is that even the fish may drown under her leadership at the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries,” he said.
He said NDC does not hate the learned Professor, but it loathes her Stone Age type of leadership which he said can’t be used in achieving modern results.
“We wish to thank new Minister of Higher Education Dr Brian Mushimba for doing what was right for the people of Zambia,” he said.
