Prison whip Nkana to go top

By Mary Mukuka
Promoted side Prison Leopards have shot to the top of the FAZ Super Division table following a huge win against Nkana at home in Kabwe on Wednesday.

Prison thumped defending champions Nkana 2-0 in a rescheduled match played at President Stadium.

A goal each from Tshite Mweshi and David Obash propelled Prison to victory in this delayed Week 7 match.

The home side went ahead after 15 minutes when Mweshi beat Nkana keeper Talbert Shumba to open the scoring.

Obashi put the last nail on the Kalampa coffin with a 65th minute goal as Prison matched to victory in style.

Prison’s sixth win of the season has pushed them four places up to number one with 20 points from 11 matches played.

Meanwhile, this was Nkana’s fourth loss of the season as they remained stuck on number 13 with 11 points from nine matches played.

Nkana have two more games in hand going into the new year.
