Police in Mumbwa have arrested and charged a 29-year-old Zambia Correctional Service Officer for alleged murder of a 42-year-old Bricklayer at Sugarloaf Enterprise Kaindu in Mumbwa.
Clifford Chota Mubili stationed at Kitumba Correctional Farm in Mumbwa is alleged to have murdered Richard Silwamba a bricklayer.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said it is alleged that the victim delayed to come back from buying foodstuffs after having been sent by the victim.
Mr Hamoonga said this annoyed the suspect and later got a metal bar and hit the victim on the face.
He said the body of the victim was inspected and a deep cut was seen on the upper right eyebrow.
The body has been deposited in Mumbwa District Hospital Mortuary awaiting Postmortem while the suspect is detained in Police custody and will appear in Court soon.
