The Prisons Care and Counseling Association (PRISCA) Executive Director Godfrey Malembeka has applauded President Hakainde Hichilema’s call to ensure better conditions for persons in incarceration.
Mr Malembeka has appealed to newly sworn in office bearers to adhere to the directives given in a bid to provide better conditions for incarcerated persons.
“I must mention that am actually humbled by the pronouncement made by the President because that policy direction by the head of state will make our advocacy and lobbing issue easier than it was before in the previous government,” he said.
Meanwhile Mr Malembeka has commended the Head of State for appointing Mr Frederick Chilukutu as Correctional Service Commissioner adding that his association is confident that he will execute his duties with professionalism.
