He said this when the DRC government delegation led by Minister of Infrastructure and Public Works Willy Ngoopos paid a courtesy call on him at state.

President Lungu also urged the Zambian authorities to alert his office when challenges arise during the implementation of the project.

And Mr Ngoopos said the project is beneficial and will enhance bilateral relations and increased trade between the two countries.

He said the project has been receiving support from both countries.

And Infrastructure Minister Vincent Mwale explained that the project is about creating a shortest route between Lubumbashi and the port of Dar es salaam.

Mr Mwale said the two Governments are likely to do the groundbreaking ceremony of the project in the next one month.

He said financing of the Kasomena Mwenda and Luapula Bridge project is been done by a private investor who has agreed with Governments from Zambia and DRC.
