Preparations are all complete for the Inauguration of President-elect Hakainde Hichilema as 7th Republican President on Tuesday August, 24, 2021.
Information and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga said that Government has completed the preparations on time and all invited guests have been informed as such.
Mr Malupenga added that the security has also been enhanced to make sure law and order is not compromised.
Mr Malupenga said Government has also put in place large screens in strategic areas to enable citizens to follow proceedings live.
He said several television and radio stations will transmit the proceedings live to ensure everyone follows.
Mr Malupenga said all Covid guidelines must be strictly adhered to by all invited guests.
Mr Malupenga said this during a media briefing earlier today.
Meanwhile, UPND Deputy Secretary General Patrick Mucheleka said gates to the national heroes’ stadium will be closed once the stadium is full.
Mr Mucheleka added no one will be left out as some social media platforms will also stream the proceedings.
