Pray for the nation urges VeeP

Vice President Inonge Wina has called on the Catholic Church to pray for the nation as the August 12 general election  nears, saying people’s emotions are getting out of hand.

Speaking when she met Kabwe Catholic Diocese Bishop Clement Mulenga in Kabwe today, the Vice President said the overall objective of the church is to enhance Christian values and morals in community.

“I want to assure the clergymen that government will continue working with the Catholic Church in different sectors such as education and health as both parties serve the same communities,” she said.

And Kabwe diocese Bishop Mulenga praised the Vice President for  being a mother to the nation through the way she handles national matters.

“I would like to acknowledge the massive infrastructure in the province by government especially the construction of houses for the men and women in uniform, also want assure the Vice President that the Catholic Church will continue to work together with the government of the day in supplementing its efforts,” he said.
