Second placed Zanaco have missed a chance to go top of the FAZ Super Division following a 2-1 loss at Power Dynamos in Kitwe on Sunday afternoon.
Zanaco would have toppled current league leaders Zesco United, who sits on 19 points, had they won at Arthur Davies Stadium in the rescheduled match.
The Bankers remained stuck on 18 points after two goals from midfielder Godfrey Ngwenya handed Power victory in the match Moses Phiri scored a consolation goal.
Meanwhile, the win has pushed Power to fourth position with 18 points from 11 matches played.
In Sunday’s other rescheduled match, Kabwe Warriors recorded their first home win of the season when beating Forest Rangers 2-1 at Godfrey”Ucar” Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe.
This was Forest’s first loss of the season.
Warriors scored through Mathews Nkowane and Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba with Nigerian striker Quadri Kola netting Forest’s goal.
Seventh placed Forest remained on 16 points with two games in hand while Warriors moved to eighth place on 15 points after playing 10 matches.
