Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU)National Coordinator Gabriel Pollen has assured affected floods victims in Namwala district in Southern province of government support.
Dr Pollen says Government through the DMMU is working hard to ensure that people affected by floods are given shelter and food.
Dr Pollen said every Government has a responsibility to provide aid to citizens that are affected by natural calamities.
He said that over 500 households of Namario fishing camp in Namwala district have been affected by the floods.
And, Chief Nalubamba of Namwala district thanked government for the provision of aid to the affected families.
