Police offer K30pin reward to help capture ‘Mayweather’

Police on the Copperbelt have placed a K30, 000 bounty on Wisdom Siame the leader of the notorious Tokota Boys Gang in Kitwe.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga says Police have had challenges to arrest Siame who is popularly known as Mayweather since he went into hiding in May last year when 19 members of his gang were arrested.

Ms Katanga said anyone who has information leading to Mayweather’s arrest will be paid K30, 000 by the police.

She said Mayweather is wanted for various crimes as he is the one who was captured in a video beating and stoning a teenager of Mulenga Compound.

Meanwhile, Police in Kitwe have heightened night time patrols after 22:00 hours in response to the re-emergence of the Tokota Boys.

Kitwe District Commissioner Binwell Mpundu said gang members are committing offences in bars and this has forced the district administration to impose restrictions on movements after 22:00 hours.

Mr Mpundu said comunities must come up with neighbourhood watch groups to enhance security in communities/ZNBC.
