Police in Lusaka have arrested 11 suspects in connection with the assault and malicious damage to property which occurred on 10th July, 2021 in Misisi Compound around 09: 00 hours.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said the suspects were arrested during an operation which police conducted in the early hours of Friday July, 23, 2021.
“On 10th July, 2021, Jonathan Banda aged 37 of Misisi compound was hacked by suspected thugs who also set his Motor vehicle, Toyota Corolla blue in colour registration number ABX 8210 on fire,” she said.
Ms Katongo said the suspects aged between 17 and 39 years are also suspected to be behind a spate of violence experienced in Misisi Compound.
She said they are detained in police custody and investigations have continued.
