PF Youths distance themselves from juveniles used in mining

By Staff Writer
PF youths on the Copperbelt have distanced themselves from the video which has gone viral where juveniles are seen offering solidarity to small scale miners

Copperbelt Provincial Youth Chairman Don Mungulube said the stance as a party is that these children are supposed to be in school and not at the dump site.

Mr Mungulube said Government has reduced school fees to ensure that all children attain descent education for the betterment of their future and the nation.

“We need our children not to be abused or become subject of child labour,” he said.

He however said that this will not derail the party from empowering youths of age and sound in mind who deserve to be empowered through the copper dump sites.

Mr Mungulube said his party would take responsibility and sensitize people on who qualifies to be at such sites.

He said the sensitization is as a way to promote safety, prevent juvenile delinquency and encourage the young ones to be in school.
