Copperbelt Patriotic Front (PF) Chairperson Nathan Chanda says the PF security wing will be structured to remove bad omen from the wing.
Mr Chanda was reacting to Chingola PF District chairperson Charles Musonda who called for the need to screen the security wing to ensure only right members are managing the wing.
In response, Mr Chanda said he had noted that some members from other political parties just pop up and say they are PF Security without any screening.
He said the security wing will be structured to ensure that the people with criminal record are removed from the wing.
“We have also noticed that our security wing, instead of giving us about the activities of the opposition they are busy giving us intelligence report about our own people. The purpose of the party’s security wing is not only to push around people but to provide intelligence reports of what other political parties are doing so that we are not caught unaware,” he said.
