PF scoops Kasenengwa

The Ruling Patriotic Front PF party has won the Kasenengwa Parliamentary By-elections with a landslide victory.

The Ruling PF party with Sensio Banda polled 10, 346 ballot papers beating his counterparts of the United Prosperous for Peaceful Zambia Abel Ngwenya who polled 1, 673 and People’s Alliance for Change PAC candidate John Zulu polled 1, 597 votes.

Returning Officer Noel Sichale declared Sensio Banda of the ruling Party a dully elected Kasenengwa Member of Parliament at exactly 02:22hrs.

A total of 13, 796 ballots were cast and 180 and ballots were rejected and declared invalid.

And speaking after the declaring him as win PF candidate Sensio Banda expressed happiness and pledged to work with the people in the area.

Mr Banda says that Kasenengwa lagged behind in terms of development and said that he will continue from what the late Victoria Kalima left from/Onishias Maamba
