PF members told to produce leaders in Western-province

By MAIMBO MWEEMBA
Vice President Inonge Wina has challenged Patriotic Front (PF) members in Mwinilunga and Ikelenge Districts to produce leaders in the upcoming general election.

Mrs Wina said the party should not fail to produce leaders in the two Districts because the PF government has implemented numerous development agenda.

“For ten years, the Party has delivered beyond peoples’ expectations and should be given a fresh mandate, and I was to call on traditional leaders in Mwinilunga and Ikelenge Districts to support the government of the day if they are to realize development in their Chiefdoms, it is difficult for development to be fostered in Chiefdoms when traditional leaders do not want to work with the government of the day,” she said.

The Vice President said she wants traditional leaders to work with the government so that development is spread across the country.

And Prof Nkandu Luo said the opposition political parties should not be considered in the upcoming elections because they do not have any record of development.

“The PF is the only political party contesting the general election that has been tested and warned against change of Government, I am capable of handling the responsibilities in the office of the Vice President because of my experience in working with various government ministries,” she said.

Professor Luo who is also President Edgar Lungu’s running mate said the PF should be given a new mandate in government because it has proven that it has the ability to foster development countrywide.
