Kalulushi Municipal Council has suspended Lulambe PF ward Councillor Febby Simwanza for organizing residents to protest against the demolition exercise.

Ms Simwanza (above) organized residents at Namboard area to make a protest at the Civic Centre for the demolition exercise carried out by the council on December 21, 2018.
The Civic Leader was suspended in a full council meeting held on December 28 2018.
KMC Public Relations Manager Dorothy Sampa told The Independent Observer that the Councillors suspension was in line with regulation No 5 sub regulation (1) (A) (B) and (2) of the statutory instrument No. 140 OF 1995.
Ms Sampa said even after protesting the Councillor went ahead and posted two recording on KMC and community WhatsApp group aimed at creating lack of confidence in the Council.
She said Ms Simwanza was suspended because her conduct in this circumstances contravenes standing order No 46 for councils in Zambia.
