PF in Livingstone Deny Miles Sampa as Party president

By MAIMBO MWEEMBA
The Patriotic Front Party (PF) in Livingstone has strongly denied Party’s President elect Miles Sampa as the leader of the PF.

Speaking at a press briefing held at the party’s district office, Livingstone PF district Chairperson Eddie Chomba says all party branches in the district do not recognize Mr Sampa as the party president.

“As Livingstone district and all the branches down to the ward level, we abash Miles Sampa as PF president, Mr Sampa left the PF, and formed his political party but failed and comeback and be illegally called PF president, that we will not accept,” he said.

Mr Chomba charges that no party official from any district was called to attend the convention stating that the convention was initially a retreat.

He stated that the party is not for sale and has a constitution that must be upheld by all members.

And Livingstone PF Information and Publicity Secretary Felix Bunda said that Mr Sampa elected himself with hired members of the party stating that no party official was called to attend the convention.

Mr Bunda has called for unity of purpose among Zambians and safeguard the democracy of the country.

Mr Bunda revealed that Livingstone district has since welcomed and recognized former President Edgar Lungu as party President

“What is happening now in the PF is a source of concern to all Zambians, today you can celebrate that it is the PF, next we do not know where the country is heading to because government is concerned on things that are happening in the PF than bettering the living standards of Zambians,” he said.
