Patriotic front (PF) youth Chairperson for Chingola District Kafula Yambayamba has called on youths in Chingola and beyond to desist from political violence as the country heads towards the polls.
Speaking in an interview with The Independent Observer Mr Yambayamba said youths are an integral component of any party and they should not engage in violence.
“ We need to follow on what the president has been saying about having a youth who is non violence, are the ideology and principles on which the PF was founded , we can differ on ideology, ideas and principles but it should not lead to violence.” He said.
Mr Yambayamba said youth should be part of governance and engage themselves in programs of youth empowerment rather than violence.
He also said they had workshops with the Minister of Youths and Child Development Emmanuel Mulenga on youth empowerment and tapping talents from the youths regardless of there political affiliation, to venture into agriculture farming.
Mr Yambayamba also said prior to the elections, there are involving other stake holders, political parties, the media to come on board to draw the road map towards elections in order to kick out violence.
He said that it is one Zambia one Nation and there is no need to fight.
