PF and its surrogates must leave FIC alone

By MAURICE MAKALU
The PF media, YALI and others mostly PF surrogates and sympathizers are up in arms over the Financial Intelligence Centre (F IC) report, even calling for disbanding its board and firing its CEO.

The report just talks about suspicious financial transactions. It mentions no names and accuses nobody.

When the PF government persecutes its opponents for Jonathan Mtaware, demonstrating, insulting language, non-existing treason or corruption, and gives them political charges in court, arresting them and denying them bond even if they faint in cells, or giving them ridiculous bail conditions, or holding them in solitary confinement.

At the end only seeing the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to enter nolle prosequi.

The response from the PF media and PF surrogates is always: If they have done nothing wrong, there is nothing to fear. If they are innocent, they should not worry.

Why not apply the same principle to the FIC report?

If those suspicious transactions are not illegal, there is nothing to worry about. There is nothing to hide!

Are they scared that one day soon, the suspicious transactions in their accounts will be exposed too? Is that the real motivation behind the fake cries of “FIC broke the law”?

Twanaka na corruption please!

Let’s be consistent. If innocent people suffering for being opposed to the President (KBF recent addition) and the party in power have nothing to worry about if they are innocent, then the un-named people in the FIC report should not worry too if they are innocent.

Leave FIC alone. They are doing a great job.
