Petauke ‘Katundu’ victim has testified before Petauke Magistrate court how she found herself in a video half naked.
A-28 year old woman, of Petauke’s show grounds told Resident Magistrate Ackson Mumba that she unknowingly found herself in a video half naked and another person playing with her private part.
When the matter came for trail the named woman narrated that on August 24th, 2018, she and her friends had a braai around 17 hours up to 22 hours.
The woman said afterward they decided to go into town to patronize some bars and went to Chillers and Dreams night clubs where they were drinking alcohol while discussing on how they will travel to Katete for the Kulamba Traditional Ceremony.
She further states that it was after one week that she started receiving calls from relatives and friends telling her that she was appearing naked in a video.
The woman told the court that she was not aware when the video was taken as she could only identify herself in the video at Petauke police station where she was summoned to go and assist the police with investigations into the matter.
She said all she remembered was that on 25th August, 2018 around 05 hours after braying with friends and patronizing some bars and night clubs, she went to visit her friend Dominic Banda who later took her to his friend’s house, Rodger Mwanza to sleep and rest.
She woke up around 07 hours the very morning and could not remember when she was being filmed naked.
Another witness, Esaya Zimba 27 also of Petauke told the court how he watched the same obscene video two months ago and told the police at Petauke police station that the voice in the video sounded like that of his friend, Rodger Mwanza but instead, his other friend Dominic Banda was the one in police custody.
The accused, Rodger Mwanza 27 of Petauke pleaded not guilty to two counts of production or making obscene material with intent to corrupt public morals and circulation of obscene material with intent to corrupt public morals.
Particulars of the offence are that on August 25 2018, Mwanza did produce and circulated obscene material with intent to corrupt public morals contrary to the laws of Zambia.
Mwanza is being represented by a Lawyer, Ferdinand Musanide Jere of Fed Jere and company of Lusaka.
State prosecutor, Mr Lebeken from the National Prosecution Authority asked the court to adjourn the matter as he was waiting for evidence of the said video from Lusaka.
Resident Magistrate Ackson Mumba adjourned the matter to November 6th, 2018 for continued trial.
