Organisation advised to do accreditation

The Ndola District Electoral Officer Cosmas Chalusa has called on organisations, media houses, political parties and independent candidates to ensure that their members or sympathizers are accredited to monitor or cover elections within the stipulated time.

Mr Chalusa said all election monitors and Journalists are required to accredit in order to monitor or cover the general election next month.

Mr Chalusa has, bemoaned the low turn out of election monitors and journalists for the accreditation exercise two weeks into the accreditation period.

He has, therefore, appealed to political parties, Non-governmental organisations, faith based organisations and media houses to ensure that their members get accredited immediately.

Mr Chalusa said organisations should not leave it to the last week to accredit but should do so as soon as they could in order to avoid any form of inconvenience.

The accreditation for the August 12, 2021 election in Ndola is on-going in the Ndola City Council Chamber, the accreditation period is from July 1, 2021 to July 30, 2021.
