One has died while four have sustained injuries in a fatal Road Traffic Accident in Kabwe Police in Kabwe that happened on October, 16, 2021 at around 04:00 hours along Mukobeko road near Kabwe Central hospital.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said that involved was a Honda CRV registration number AGB 808 which was driven by Mumba Shamikula a male aged 29 of Kawama Township with four Passengers on board.
“Involved passengers are Shungwe Shamikula a male aged 32 of kawama township who sustained a bruised right hand and general body pains, Dorothy Phiri, female aged 24 of Kawama township who sustained a dislocated right hip ,body bruises and general body pains, Christabel Mulwanda a female aged 22 of Kawama township who sustained bruises and General body pains and Caryn Kamaloni, femaleaged 23 also of Kawama township who sustained bruises and body pains,’ he said.
Mr Hamoonga said that the driver died on the spot and his body is lying at Kabwe Central hospital mortuary, adding that motor vehicle was extensively damaged.
“The accident happened when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed and went off the road on the left side, hit into a tree,” he said.
Mr Hamoonga said that all the injured persons are admitted at Kabwe Central hospital.
