‘O Stars’ gang disjointed on plea

Three members of the infamous gang ‘O Stars’ that has been attacking members of the community in Chikola have pleaded guilty to three counts of assault before Chingola Magistrate court.

Yet one of the members of the gang has pleaded guilty.

Appealing before Chingola Senior Resident Magistrate Peggy Banda were Manix Kabamba 27, Joseph Ngoma 22, Kenneth Kiyombale 22, all of Chikola B facing three counts of assault and occasion body harm contrary to the laws of Zambia.

Particulars of the offence in the 1st count are that Joseph Ngoma and Manix Kabamba on May 2, 2018, whilst acting together willfully but unlawful assaulted a person.

Ngoma pleaded guilty to the charge while his co-accused Manix denied the charge.

In count two Joseph Ngoma and Kenneth Kiyombale are accused of assault and causing body harm to a person on July 11, 2018 did.

They both pleaded guilty to the charge.

In count third the trio on February 17, 2019, jointly and whilst acting together assaulted and caused body harm to a person.

Joseph Ngoma has pleaded guilty to the charge but the other two have denied the charge.

Magistrate Banda has since adjourned the matter to March 1, for trial.
