Nyimba Town Council tipper truck driver has dumped garbage in front of the Council offices as protest of unpaid salaries.
Nevers Phiri 50, who is Nyimba longest serving council employee collected the said garbage from the market and dumped it at the office in protest over nonpayment of salaries.
Some rural councils are reported to have over employed ever since the establishment was centralized.
Some now simply operate on equalization funds meant for projects thereby stalling projects.
The equalization funds go into emoluments.
One affected of the council employee spoken to advised government to take over the huge salary burdens from councils if the problem should be eradicated.
