Zesco United Coach Numba Munamamba says the win against Lusaka Dynamos will motivate the team in coming games.
The Ndola outfit on Saturday beat Dynamos 2-0 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
The win pushed Zesco to 25 points and joint top on the Super Division log.
Numba said his lads played well compared to the previous games
“This win will help us motivate as you can see, we lost against Nkwazi, and there is much improvement in terms of application from the team which is a positive thing.
“Our strategy of getting early goals worked to our advantage, I think it unsettled Dynamos the moment we scored the two goals,” he said.
Kenyan Jesse Were and John Ching’andu scored a goal apiece to hand Zesco maximum points.
Numba said Were, who was restored to the starting lineup has improved his performance and wants to help the team.
He said players from the feeder teams are also doing well.
“The new players are doing well, they are just starting and all we need is just to give them the confidence because Zesco is a big team. For them to express themselves the way they have done today on the pitch is a plus to the team.
Former Zesco Malaiti duo of defenders Samson Mkandawire and Willard Nkausu started against Dynamos.
