Northwestern Chamber wants partnership with Solwezi Council on projects

Northwestern Chamber of Commerce has expressed interest in partnering with Solwezi Municipal Council in undertaking developmental projects in the district.

This came to light during a meeting held in the Mayor’s office.

Solwezi Mayor Nicholas Mukumbi said that the Council has been working closely with the Chamber of Commerce through various Contractors on many projects.

Mr Mukumbi emphasized on the need for more stakeholder engagement to effectively develop the district into a city.

He urged the Chamber of Commerce in the province to assist the Council source for more investors willing to develop the district speedily with a view of attaining city status.

Solwezi Town Clerk Bornwell Luanga highlighted some of the projects that the Council is undertaking such as construction of Industrial Yards allocated for citizen empowerment, among many other projects, in order to enhance investor confidence.
