Zambia Meteorological Department Senior Meteorologist Peggy Thole says the country is expected to start receiving normal rainfall of between 40 to 100 millimeters between January 2nd and January 10, 2022.
“For this period in January, we are seeing a slightly reduction in rain fall but January 2nd and 10th, it is indicating very good rainfall,” she said.
Ms Thole said that the country is expected to have a pickup in rainfall starting from 31 January.
She said the rain pattern also applies to all parts of the country including Muchinga and Eastern Provinces which are currently the worst hit by the dry spell.
