The country has not recorded any new cases of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours .
Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya says the total number of COVID-19 cases remains at 39 and one death.
Dr Chilufya says all the patients are in the care of the health authorities and that they remain stable.
Speaking during the routine updates on COVID-19 in Lusaka today, the Health Minister said 2 hundred and 62 alerts have been followed up, investigated and that none has tested positive.
He said 1,376 people have been discharged after 14 days of quarantine while the rest remain in quarantine.
Dr. Chilufya said the Government is working closely with the Malawian counterparts following that country recording three cases of covid 19.
He said the breakout of COVID-19 in the neighbouring country calls for action and that there is strong surveillance at Chanida border and the rest of the province.
