The Zambia Police Service has cancelled all forms of leave for the command until further notice.
This is to enable the service to provide adequate manpower and effectively enforce law and order during the festive season and beyond.
Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja says police will deploy officers countrywide to prevent all forms of anarchy during the festive season and beyond.
Mr Kanganja was speaking in Livingstone at the roll out of the Southern Province Government Service Bus and Gateway Payment System/ZNBC.
