The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) says there will be no extension for the payment of Road Tax for the last quarter.
RTSA Head of Public Relations Frederick Mubanga said the agency will not offer any extension.
Mr Mubanga advised motorists, fleet owners and the general public that the Agency will not be offering an extension for the payment of road tax for the third quarter of 2020.
He said motor vehicle owners whose Road Licences expired on September 30, 2020 may pay for road tax at any RTSA service centres, outlet partners-ZAMPOST, ZSIC and selected local authorities.
“Similarly, our clients are encouraged to utilise the RTSA online payment portal: www.rtsa.org.zm
“The services available online include renewal and duplicate of Driver’s Licence, Road Worthiness Application (“Road Fitness Test”), Motor Vehicle Licence (“Road Tax”) and motor vehicle registration-temporal registration,” he said.
Mr Mubanga said driving a vehicle without or with expired Road Licence on a public road is an offence and against the Road Traffic Act No.11of 2002.
“From the foregoing, the RTSA will enforce the law in its totality and all those found wanting will be charged in accordance with the provisions of the law,” he said.
