Lufwanyama PF aspiring Parliamentary candidate Don Mungulube says leadership is not an experimental exercise of try and error.
Speaking in an interview, Mr Mungulube said Zambia needs leaders who can be trusted with governance.
He said youths will have a big responsibility this year to ensure that they are not manipulated by selfish individuals seeking public office.
Mr Mungulube who is also PF Copperbelt Youth Chairperson said any leader who has no interest for the youths does not deserve the support of youths.
He said leadership should not be an experimental exercise.
“Youths need to be very careful and alert. We have people seeking public office for selfish gain. This as youths, we should not allow. We need to look at the record of someone who is aspiring for public office,” he said.
Mr Mungulube said the PF has demonstrated leadership when it comes to promoting youth leadership.
“We will start just here on the Copperbelt. As PF we have taken the plight of youths so serious. We have our provincial Chairperson who is a youth and he is heading the province like Copperbelt which is critical in all aspects. This shows that the PF has confidence in its youthful leadership.”
“At national level, President Edgar Lungu has demonstrated his desire to work with the youths by first appointing his Political Advisor Chris Zumani, a youth. This clear demonstrates that the PF under President Lungu has taken the mantle in ensuring that youths have key positions in his administration. We have a lot of examples of in the country,” he said.
And Mr Mungulube said he is impressed with the support the PF is enjoying in rural parts of the Copperbelt.
He said rural parts of Copperbelt have had benefited from the national cake under the Leadership of President Edgar Lungu.
