Police side Nkwazi have stunned Nkana 3-2 in the two teams opening FAZ Super Division match played on Sunday at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
Nkwazi frustrated Nkana with two early goals scored by Christopher Zulu and Nelson Mwila.
Zulu put Nkwazi in front after three minutes after beating new Nkana keeper Bradley Mweene with Mwila’s goal coming four minutes later.
Striker Alex Ng’onga reduced the score-line to 2-1 in the 25th minute to give Nkana some hopes.
Nkwazi took a 2-1 lead into the half time break.
Ng’onga finally equalised for the home side to make it 2-2 after being set up by second half substitute Diamond Chikwekwe on 71 minutes.
The game was heading for a 2-2 draw when Stephen Mutama poked in the winning goal for Nkwazi in the 75th minute to make it 3-2 after Mweene’s mistake.
