Nkhuwa rallies constituents to register as voters

By Staff Writer
Chingola Member of Parliament Matthew Nkhuwa has rallied the constituents to register as voters.

Mr Nkhuwa said the queues have reduced and are now manageable to enable all to register.

Speaking when he visited several voter registration centres, Mr Nkhuwa said the Electoral Commission of Zambia staff have mastered the registration equipment and they are faster in registering.

He reiterated that registering as voter is the only way to select (elect) leaders of their choice.

“Governance is the business of everyone and crucial time to get involved in governance is now during the voter registration exercise. We should not wait or thing of extension, the best we can do is to ensure that we beat the target by deadline time,” he said.

Mr Nkhuwa who is also Energy Minister visited voter registration exercise phase 4 in the various wards among them are Kasompe, Lulamba, Gibson Chimwembe, Park Mall, Chiwempala, Twatasha, Chikola and Civic Centre.

He was accompanied by Chingola District Commissioner Agnes Tonga.
