Nkhuwa gives office furniture to Chigayo School

By ALICE NACHILEMBE
Chingola Member of Parliament Matthew Nkhuwa has handed over office furniture to Chingayo Community School to complete the project he started at the school.

Mr Nkhuwa has built a 1×3 classroom block at this school where he equipped each class with desks and blackboards.

This time he went back to give the administration furniture after a plea from school management during the handover of the school that they squat on stools.

The furniture includes two office tables and four chairs for the Headteacher and the Deputy Head Teacher.

Chingayo School Head Lonia Phiri expressed gratitude to Mr Nkhuwa for the gesture.

Ms Phiri said the MP has been a hero to the pupils and teachers at the school.

She said the school infrastructure and furniture is an empowerment to the pupils and teachers.

Ms Phiri said the MP has provided a condusive environment for learners because the gesture shows how much he attaches importance to education.

And handing over the equipment to the school, Matty Investment Projects Manager John Banda said the furniture was a fulfillment of what Mr Nkhuwa had started at the school.
