Chingola Member of Parliament Matthew Nkhuwa has empowered three sperate families in three different ways.
The empowerment ranged from cool cash to connecting a house to power grid.
In Chikola ‘B,’ Angela Silwamba received K5, 000 cash from Mr Nkhuwa.
Ms Silwamba, a mother of two had approached Mr Nkhuwa to help her in finding a job for her husband.
Due to job scarcity, the MP advised her to find a business undertaking which she could venture in with her husband.
And today, Matty Investments Operations Manager Arthur Kanja delivered the money to Ms Silwamba at her home 37 Lukusashi on behalf of Mr Nkhuwa.
Ms Silwamba said together with her husband they want to venture in beans trading and the money was enough for start-up capital.
She thanked Mr Nkhuwa and promised him that she will not disappoint.
The next stop was 34 Lulamba Road in Twatasha Township where Elizabeth Mofya had equally approached Mr Nkhuwa for employment of her children.
Instead of saying that there is no employment at the the moment, Mr Nkhuwa who is also Energy Minister offered to help her boys to open up a barber shop.
A shaving machine, iron sheets, timber offcuts, socket outlets, nails and electrical cables to connect home to the barber shop were delivered at Ms Mofya’s home today.
Some money was also left for purchase of mirrors and other needs for the set up of the barber shop.
Ms Mofya who thanked the Member of Parliament, said the barber shop is very sustainable business venture.
Another beneficiary was Mervis Chipembele of Milopa Rural in Muchinshi along Solwezi Road.
Ms Chipembele asked Mr Nkhuwa to help her get comncted to electricity national power grid.
And today Matty Investments paid K2, 410 to to Zesco and receipts were delivered to Ms Chipembele in Muchinshi’s Ngosa area.
Ms Chipembele said the gesture is clear demonstration that Mr Nkhuwa want to work for people to uplift their living standards.
Speaking after making the empowerments, Mr Nkhuwa said his desire is to touch lives of people.
He said apartment from building health centres, schools, improving water reticulations in public infrastructure, he also wants to help the vulnerable families.
“Little as they appear but we are equalizing and the families will have a bag of mealie meal at the month,” he said.
The total empowerment to the three families amounted to K10, 000.
