Asante Kotoko’s Burkinabe striker Yacouba Songné has emerged as a transfer target for Zambian clubs Zesco United and Nkana after he impressed the two sides in CAF Confederation Cup action against them.
Songné 27, shares the same agent with former Zesco United defender Ben Adama Banh who currently turns out for Nkana.
It is said that the two sides are keen to do business with the Ghanaian representative once again.
The former Stade Malien man who joined Kotoko in 2016 scored a spectacular free-kick against Nkana over the weekend in Kotoko’s 3-1 loss in CAF Confederation Cup fixture played at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
He was also influential in his side’s 2-1 home win over Zesco a week earlier as he assisted both goals.
Nkana have been on the hunt for a striker since the departure of Congolese striker Idris Mbombo who left at the end of last season to join Al Hilal of Sudan.
