Nkana switches to CAF Cup

By Mary Mukuka
Nkana are focusing their attention on the CAF Confederation Cup following their elimination from the CAF Champions League on Wednesday.

Kalampa were eliminated from the prestigious Champions League by Angola side Petro Atletico via a 2-1 aggregate score-line at the pre-group stage.

In a post match interview, Nkana coach Kelvin Kaindu demanded improvement from his side as they begin life in the Confederation Cup.

“Now, coming to the CAF Confederation Cup, it is not also easy and I think you also have to prepare well, look at the teams that are there and look at the teams from the Champions League,” Kaindu said.

“The Confederation Cup is also never easy, what we have probably learnt is lets us learn to try and use maximum advantage when we are playing at home- and probably get a victory playing at home,” he added.

Nkana will know their Confederation Cup opponents when the draws are made in Cairo on Friday.
