Netherlands investor interested in Solwezi business community

PUM Senior Expert from the Netherlands Mr Cees Shoenmaker, North Western Province Chamber of Commerce President Mr Mukumbi Kafuta and entourage yesterday paid a Courtesy Call on His Worship the Mayor of Solwezi Remmy Kalepa to discuss the possible future of the business community in Solwezi.

Mr Shoenmaker said that he is in Zambia on a fact finding mission to determine how his experience in establishing businesses can benefit Solwezi through setting up a Business Incubation Centre which will address the many challenges individuals face in actualizing their business innovations.

He indicated that the Business Incubation Centre intends to work with Universities, Government and the business community in Solwezi to ensure that all sectors are covered in the process of setting up the Incubation Centre that will address the challenges of establishing businesses.

His Worship the Mayor Remmy Kalepa is delighted that Solwezi will benefit from the Incubation Centre once it is formed as the district is endowed with many young people with brilliant business ideas that have the potential to develop Solwezi and the Nation at large.

Mr Kalepa said that the establishment of the Incubation Centre in Solwezi will benefit many young people including the less privileged who are passionate about developing the district through innovative business ideas.

He is also delighted that the Centre will promote entrepreneurship, self-sufficiency and the sustainable development of small and medium-sized enterprises locally something which the government through the leadership of His Excellency the President Mr Hakainde Hichilema is daily advocating for.
