The National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidates intending to contest the Roan seat have been slapped with technical knockout after the party and its Government made today a half day for Examination Council of Zambia.
Fourteen (14) NDC aspirants had gone to ECZ office in Kitwe to have their Grade 12 certificates verified before the nomination tomorrow but they were only greeted by the banner above.
This means that NDC will not field a candidate because the time is against them to travel to Lusaka for verification unless they file a court injunction to prevent the entire process of filing to a later date.
NDC National Youth Chairperson Charles Kabwita said he was disappointed with the maneuvers at play.
