All the eleven wards in Nchanga Constituency in Chingola have received funeral tents under the 2021 Constituency Development Funds (CDF).
And Nchanga Member of Parliament Derricky Chilundika said that the UPND is a practical Government who promised to work for the people for a better Zambia.
Mr Chilundika said the new dawn Government respect people’s decision hence when they brought the outcry for the tents to help in funerals his office responded with the purchase under CDF.
He said that the Government wants to be as transparent and accountable as possible and has promised to bring in open every purchase for the community to see how the money is been spent.
Mr Chilundika said the people will not be given any benefit of doubt when it comes to the utilization of the funds.
He said that the projects under CDF in his constituency will be implemented one by one to see to it that the constituency will never be the same.
“We have a lot of projects that we are doing, and we want the people in the constituency to benefit from all of themt. It is for the reason that we want cooperatives and clubs to implement all the projects and benefit in one way or the other,” he said.
He has called on all stakeholders to come on board and support the works of government so that development can be seen and noticed by all.
And Chingola Mayor Johnson Kang’ombe commended the government for the implementation and putting CDF into good use.
Mr Kang’ombe urged everyone to work together as a team so that Chingola attains it city status by 2030.
He said the tents will go a long way in helping with communities.
