Nchanga Rangers signs 4 Ghanaian players

…brings 11 new players

NCHANGA Rangers has procured four Ghanaian players plus one Nigerian player to add fire power to the team which has been tipped to finish fourth on the FAZ/MTN league table.

The new arrivals at Nchanga Stadium are Ivin Ayew Afulang 20, Abam Sulley 21, and Muhammed Amadu 20 all from Olympics FC in Ghana, Accra.

Okechukwu Umeji 20 who was on loan at Nchanga Rangers last season joins the Evans Sakala trained side on permanent basis from Nigeria.

Abdu Fatal 23 of Ghana who has been in the country for some time, joins Rangers from Kitwe United.

Other new signees are Mala Raphael from Buildcon, Robin Miyanda from Happy Hearts, Dick Ngwenya, Lusaka Dynamos, Benny Chengo (Mufulira Wanderers).

Others are Peter Zulu and Kelvin Chomba both from Konkola Blades and Nasha Kaya from NAPSA Stars.

Rangers has also rehired its former goal minder Evans Chewe as the goal keeper coach.

Nchanga Rangers bench which has three Evans’ (Evans Chewe, Evans Sakala and Evans Mwamba) has been given ammunitions to compete favourable.

Nchanga Rangers team Manager Patrick Nkhata said the signing of 11 new players would add value to the team and give the technical bench enough options to choose from.

Rangers will this season allow all children under the age of 12 to enter free at the stadium during league games as long as such minors are accompanied by an elderly person.

Nchanga Rangers was supposed to have a league opener at home against Zanaco on March 17 but Zanaco could be playing continental football.
