Nchanga Queens FC have won promotion to the FAZ Women’s Super League for 2024/2025 season, after a 1-0 away win against Prison Leopards Queens with four games remaining before the end of the season.
A goal from a league top Scorer Ivy Simbeye on Saturday sent Nchanga Queens to Super league with 54 points.
The FAZ Women’s National Division one side have played 20 games, lost two games, scored 59 goals and coincided 16 goals.
The second team to be picked from North Zone is up for grabs for, Nkana, Sporting Doves , Chalube Angels and konkola Blades Queens.
Nchanga Queens is still leading the the FAZ Women’s National league table with 54 points 20 points difference with Nkana who is on second position with 34 points , Sporting Doves third with 33 points, Chalube fourth with 30 points and Konkola closing the top 5 with with 28 points.
Speaking in a post -match interview after winning Prison Leopards Queens on Saturday , Nchanga Queens Assistant Coach Chewe Mulenga Saluted the Queens for excellent performance from match day one to date.
“We are happy that we have managed to collect maximum 3 points from Prison Leopards Queens, this means that we have earned promotion to super league, and I would like to salute the Queens for being consistency from day one up to now,” she said.
