Nchanga Member of Parliament Derricky Chilundika has instructed Konkola Copper Mines to give Mulonga water supply and sanitation water so that they are able to supply running water to the communities in his constituency.

And Mr Chilundika has also told Mulonga to put their house in order and give good service to the people.

He said that the people in his constituency have been calling him complaining about erratic water supply.

Mr Chilundika said according to what is on the ground, KCM is deliberaletly not been supplying water to Mulonga.

The MP has since assured the people in his constituency that water will be restored in the next two days as he has been assured by KCM and Mulonga that they will work in collaboration.

He thanked the people for being patient and peaceful as they have suffered without normal water supply.

Mr Chilundika has urged the people to continue notifying him when they are faced with challenges and he will run to their office.

And KCM General Manager engineering and Projects Ellie Sampa told the Minister that the mine is facing some challenges as some people are vandalizing their pipes.

Mr Sampa said that the mine is not denying Mulonga water from underground as it is also working toward the satisfaction of the people.

The KCM Management has since pledged to do everything possible to rectify the situation.
